The Prophet ﷺ was asked about matters he disliked, and when the questioning persisted, he became angry. Then he said to the people, "Ask me whatever you wish."A man stood and asked, "Who is my father?"He replied, "Your father is Hudhafah."Another man stood and asked, "Who is my father, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Your father is Salim, the freed slave of Shayb."When Umar saw the anger on the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "Messenger of Allah, we repent to Allah."In the narration of Abu Kurayb, the man asked, "Who is my father, Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Your father is Salim, the freed slave of Shayb."

سئل النبي ﷺ عن أشياء كرهها فلما أكثر عليه غضب ثم قال للناس سلوني عم شئتم فقال رجل من أبي قال أبوك حذافة فقام آخر فقال من أبي يا رسول الله قال أبوك سالم مولى شيبة فلما رأى عمر ما في وجه رسول الله ﷺ من الغضب قال يا رسول الله إنا نتوب إلى الله وفي رواية أبي كريب قال من أبي يا رسول الله قال أبوك سالم مولى شيبة
