I was praying in the mosque while Abdullah bin Umar was sitting with his back leaning against the qiblah. When I finished my prayer, I turned toward him from one side.Abdullah said, "Some people say that when you sit to relieve yourself, you should not face the qiblah or Jerusalem."Abdullah continued, "I once climbed onto the roof of a house and saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seated on two bricks, facing Jerusalem, relieving himself."

كنت أصلي في المسجد وعبد الله بن عمر مسند ظهره إلى القبلة فلما قضيت صلاتي انصرفت إليه من شقي فقال عبد الله يقول ناس إذا قعدت للحاجة تكون لك فلا تقعد مستقبل القبلة ولا بيت المقدس قال عبد الله ولقد رقيت على ظهر بيت فرأيت رسول الله ﷺ قاعدا على لبنتين مستقبلا بيت المقدس لحاجته
