We visited Abdullah bin Amr when Muawiya came to Kufa. He mentioned the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "He was neither obscene nor one who used obscene language."He also said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best among you are those with the finest character.'"Uthman said this when he came with Muawiya to Kufa.

دخلنا على عبد الله بن عمرو حين قدم معاوية إلى الكوفة فذكر رسول الله ﷺ فقال لم يكن فاحشا ولا متفحشا وقال قال رسول الله ﷺ إن من خياركم أحاسنكم أخلاقا قال عثمان حين قدم مع معاوية إلى الكوفة
