He was among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and he informed them both that he went on a military expedition with the Prophet ﷺ toward Najd. When the Prophet ﷺ returned, he returned with him. The time of the midday rest overtook them one day. He then narrated something similar to the hadith of Ibrahim bin Saad and Muamar.

وكان من أصحاب النبي ﷺ أخبرهما أنه غزا مع النبي ﷺ غزوة قبل نجد فلما قفل النبي ﷺ قفل معه فأدركتهم القائلة يوما ثم ذكر نحو حديث إبراهيم بن سعد ومعمر
