A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I saw in a dream as though my head had been cut off."The Prophet ﷺ laughed and said, "When Satan toys with one of you in his sleep, let him not relate it to people."In Abu Bakr's narration, the wording is, "When something toys with one of you," without mentioning Satan.
و حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة وأبو سعيد الأشج قالا حدثنا وكيع عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله رأيت في المنام كأن رأسي قطع قال فضحك النبي ﷺ وقال إذا لعب الشيطان بأحدكم في منامه فلا يحدث به الناس وفي رواية أبي بكر إذا لعب بأحدكم ولم يذكر الشيطان
