Zuhri reported,

Abu Salama said, "I used to have dreams that left me shivering, though I was never wrapped in a blanket, until I met Abu Qatada and mentioned this to him."Abu Qatada said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'A true dream is from Allah, and a bad dream is from Satan. So when one of you has a dream that he dislikes, let him spit lightly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and it will not harm him.'"The phrase "that left me shivering" does not occur in the narrations of those two, and in the narration of Yunus there is the addition, "Let him spit to his left three times when he wakes from his sleep."
