Ibn Umar, when he perfumed himself with incense, would use pure aloeswood without any additives, along with camphor that he would mix with the aloeswood. Then he said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perfume himself with incense."
حدثني هارون بن سعيد الأيلي وأبو طاهر وأحمد بن عيسى قال أحمد حدثنا وقال الآخران أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني مخرمة عن أبيه
كان ابن عمر إذا استجمر استجمر بالألوة غير مطراة وبكافور يطرحه مع الألوة ثم قال هكذا كان يستجمر رسول الله ﷺ
