I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "There is no contagion, no Safar, and no ghoul."I heard Abu Zubayr mention that Jabir explained to them the meaning of his statement "and no Safar." Abu Zubayr said, "Safar refers to the belly."Jabir was asked, "How is that?"He replied, "It used to be said that there are creatures in the belly."He did not explain the meaning of "ghoul." Abu Zubayr said, "This refers to the ghouls that shape-shift."
