A man asked Saad bin Abu Waqqas about the plague.Usama bin Zayd said, "I will tell you about it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'It is a punishment, or an affliction, that Allah sent upon a group of the Children of Israil, or upon people who lived before you. So if you hear that it has struck a land, do not enter it while it is there, and if it breaks out in a land where you already are, do not leave in flight from it.'"
