We forced medicine into the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during his illness. He gestured to us not to do so, but we assumed it was just a sick person's dislike of medicine. When he regained consciousness, he said, "Not one of you shall remain without having medicine forced into his mouth, except Abbas, for he was not present with you."

لددنا رسول الله ﷺ في مرضه فأشار أن لا تلدوني فقلنا كراهية المريض للدواء فلما أفاق قال لا يبقى أحد منكم إلا لد غير العباس فإنه لم يشهدكم
