He came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned something similar. In the narration of Salim bin Nuh, he did not mention "three times."
حدثناه محمد بن المثنى حدثنا سالم بن نوح ح و حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا أبو أسامة كلاهما عن الجريري عن أبي العلاء
أنه أتى النبي ﷺ فذكر بمثله ولم يذكر في حديث سالم بن نوح ثلاثا
