Whenever anyone in his family fell ill, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would recite the Muawwidhat over them and blow gently. During his final illness, I began to recite over him and wipe him with his own hand, for his hand carried greater blessing than mine.In the narration of Yahya bin Ayub, the wording is "with Muawwidhat."
