The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was put under a spell. Abu Kurayb related the hadith with its full account along the lines of Ibn Numayr's hadith, except that he said in it, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to the well and looked at it, and there were palm trees over it."She said, "I said, 'Messenger of Allah, why not bring it out?'"He did not say, "Shall I not burn it?" Nor did he mention, "I gave orders concerning it and it was buried."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا أبو أسامة حدثنا هشام عن أبيه
سحر رسول الله ﷺ وساق أبو كريب الحديث بقصته نحو حديث ابن نمير وقال فيه فذهب رسول الله ﷺ إلى البئر فنظر إليها وعليها نخل وقالت قلت يا رسول الله فأخرجه ولم يقل أفلا أحرقته ولم يذكر فأمرت بها فدفنت
