Ayesha reported,

A woman of the Ansar had given her daughter in marriage, and the girl fell ill and her hair fell out. The mother came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Her husband wants her, so may I attach hair to her hair?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Those women who join hair have been cursed." And he said, "Those women who have hair joined for them have been cursed."
