I was sitting with Ibn Abbas, and he kept giving fatwas without saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said," until a man asked him, saying, "I am a man who makes these images."Ibn Abbas said to him, "Come closer."The man came closer, and Ibn Abbas said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever fashions an image in this world will be charged on the Day of Resurrection with breathing the spirit into it, and he will never be able to do so.'"

كنت جالسا عند ابن عباس فجعل يفتي ولا يقول قال رسول الله ﷺ حتى سأله رجل فقال إني رجل أصور هذه الصور فقال له ابن عباس ادنه فدنا الرجل فقال ابن عباس سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من صور صورة في الدنيا كلف أن ينفخ فيها الروح يوم القيامة وليس بنافخ
