Ali reported,

Ali said, "He, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, forbade me to wear my ring on this finger or the one next to it." Asim was not sure which of the two he meant. "And he forbade me to wear qassi garments and to sit on mayathir."He explained that qassi are striped garments brought from Egypt and Syria that have something like this in them, while mayathir were something women used to make for their husbands to place on the saddle, resembling crimson velvet cushions.
