The Prophet of Allah ﷺ intended to write to the non-Arabs, but he was told that the non-Arabs would only accept a letter that bore a seal. So he had a silver ring made. The narrator said, "It is as if I can still see its whiteness on his hand."

أن نبي الله ﷺ كان أراد أن يكتب إلى العجم فقيل له إن العجم لا يقبلون إلا كتابا عليه خاتم فاصطنع خاتما من فضة قال كأني أنظر إلى بياضه في يده
