I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A man from among those who came before you was strutting in his fine garment..." and he then mentioned the like of their hadith.

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن رجلا ممن كان قبلكم يتبختر في حلة ثم ذكر مثل حديثهم
