Abdullah bin Akeem reported,

We were with Hudhayfah at al-Madain when he asked for a drink. A local landlord brought him a beverage in a silver vessel, but Hudhayfah threw it back at him and said, "I am telling you that I had already ordered him not to serve me a drink in this. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, and do not wear brocade or silk, for these belong to them in this world and to you in the Hereafter, on the Day of Resurrection.'"
