This same account regarding the meal of Abu Talha was reported from the Prophet ﷺ. In this version it states that Abu Talha stood at the door until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, and he said to him, "Messenger of Allah, it was only a small amount of food."He replied, "Bring it forward, for Allah will place blessing in it."
و حدثنا عبد بن حميد حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد عن عمرو بن يحيى عن أبيه
بهذه القصة في طعام أبي طلحة عن النبي ﷺ وقال فيه فقام أبو طلحة على الباب حتى أتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال له يا رسول الله إنما كان شيء يسير قال هلمه فإن الله سيجعل فيه البركة
