Husayn bin Abdul-Rahman reported,

I was sitting with Saeed bin Jubayr when he asked, "Which of you saw the shooting star that fell last night?"I said, "I did." Then I added, "I was not engaged in prayer, but I had been stung."He asked, "What did you do then?"I replied, "I sought a ruqya."He asked, "What made you do that?"I said, "A hadith that Shaybi narrated to us."He asked, "And what did Shaybi narrate to you?"I said, "He narrated to us from Burayda bin Husayb al-Aslami that he said, 'There is no ruqya except for the evil eye or a venomous sting.'"Saeed responded, "He has done well who stops at what he has heard. But Ibn Abbas narrated to us from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, 'The nations were shown to me. I saw a prophet with a small group, a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no one at all. Then a great multitude was raised up before me, and I thought they were my nation. It was said to me, This is Musa ﷺ and his people. But look toward the horizon. So I looked, and there was a great multitude. Then it was said to me, Look toward the other horizon. There too was a great multitude. It was said to me, This is your nation, and among them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment.'Then the Prophet ﷺ rose and entered his house. The people began discussing those who would enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment. Some said, "Perhaps they are the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Others said, "Perhaps they are those born into Islam who never associated anything with Allah."They mentioned other possibilities as well. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them and asked, "What are you discussing?"They told him, and he said, "They are those who do not seek ruqya, do not practice cautery, do not see omens in things, and rely upon their Lord."Ukasha bin Mihsan stood up and said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."The Prophet said, "You are one of them."Then another man stood up and said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."He said, "Ukasha has preceded you in this."
