The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand of my nation will enter Paradise without reckoning."They asked, "Who are they, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "They are those who do not seek cauterization, do not request ruqyah, and place their trust in their Lord."Ukkashah stood up and said, "Pray to Allah that He make me one of them."He said, "You are one of them."Then another man stood up and said, "Prophet of Allah, pray to Allah that He make me one of them."He replied, "Ukkashah has beaten you to it."
حدثنا يحيى بن خلف الباهلي حدثنا المعتمر عن هشام بن حسان عن محمد يعني ابن سيرين قال حدثني
قال نبي الله ﷺ يدخل الجنة من أمتي سبعون ألفا بغير حساب قالوا ومن هم يا رسول الله قال هم الذين لا يكتوون ولا يسترقون وعلى ربهم يتوكلون فقام عكاشة فقال ادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال أنت منهم قال فقام رجل فقال يا نبي الله ادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال سبقك بها عكاشة
And the other one, "Seventy thousand will enter Paradise," likewise does not contain Muhammad's hearing from Imran, and in more than one hadith he says, "I think it is from Imran," and Allah knows best. Bukhari did not narrate anything from Ibn Sirin, from Imran.
I say, Daraqutni's statement, may Allah have mercy on him, regarding the first hadith, that Quraysh bin Anas alone narrated it, is not as he said. Rather, Ayub bin Abu Tamima corroborated him, as narrated by Ahmad (vol 4, p 43) and Abdul-Razzaq (vol 9, p 355).Ahmad, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "Abdul-Razzaq narrated to us, Maamar narrated to us, from Ayub, from Ibn Sirin, from Imran, who said, 'A man bit another man and his front tooth was pulled out, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, invalidated the claim and said, "You wanted to gnaw at your brother's hand the way a stallion gnaws."'"As for the claim that Ibn Sirin did not hear from Imran, Imam Ahmad affirmed that he did hear from him, as mentioned above, and so did Imam Yahya bin Main, as recorded in Jarh wal-Tadil by Ibn Abu Hatim (vol 7, p 280). The one who affirms takes precedence over the one who denies. And Allah knows best.Likewise, Ibn Sirin explicitly stated that Imran narrated to him, in the last chain of transmission that Muslim presented.
