Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

A drink would be prepared for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the beginning of the night, and he would drink it when he woke that morning, throughout that day, the following night, the next day, the night after, and the day after that until the afternoon. If anything remained, he would give it to the servant to drink or order it to be poured out.
