I was standing serving my paternal uncles among my people, pouring for them a drink of fadikh that they had, and I was the youngest of them. A man came and said, "Wine has been forbidden."They said, "Pour it out, Anas."So I poured it out.The narrator said, I asked Anas, "What was it?"He replied, "Unripe dates and ripe dates."Abu Bakr bin Anas said, "That was their wine in those days."Sulayman said, A man also narrated to me from Anas bin Malik that he said the same thing.
و حدثنا يحيى بن أيوب حدثنا ابن علية قال وأخبرنا سليمان التيمي
إني لقائم على الحي على عمومتي أسقيهم من فضيخ لهم وأنا أصغرهم سنا فجاء رجل فقال إنها قد حرمت الخمر فقالوا اكفئها يا أنس فكفأتها قال قلت لأنس ما هو قال بسر ورطب قال فقال أبو بكر بن أنس كانت خمرهم يومئذ قال سليمان وحدثني رجل عن أنس بن مالك أنه قال ذلك أيضا
