Anas bin Malik reported,

I was the cupbearer for the people in the house of Abu Talha on the day wine was forbidden, and their drink was nothing but fadikh made from unripe dates and ripe dates. Then a caller began calling out, so Abu Talha said, "Go out and see what this is."I went out, and there was a caller announcing, "Wine has indeed been forbidden!" It was then flowing through the streets of Medina.Abu Talha said to me, "Go out and pour it away." So I poured it out.The people, or some of them, said, "So-and-so was killed, so-and-so was killed, while it was still in their bellies."The narrator said, I do not know whether this part is from the hadith of Anas. Then Allah revealed, "There is no blame upon those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they have eaten in the past, so long as they fear Allah, believe, and do righteous deeds" [Maidah 5:93].

عن أنس بن مالك قال

كنت ساقي القوم يوم حرمت الخمر في بيت أبي طلحة وما شرابهم إلا الفضيخ البسر والتمر فإذا مناد ينادي فقال اخرج فانظر فخرجت فإذا مناد ينادي ألا إن الخمر قد حرمت قال فجرت في سكك المدينة فقال لي أبو طلحة اخرج فاهرقها فهرقتها فقالوا أو قال بعضهم قتل فلان قتل فلان وهي في بطونهم قال فلا أدري هو من حديث أنس فأنزل الله عز وجل {ليس على الذين آمنوا وعملوا الصالحات جناح فيما طعموا إذا ما اتقوا وآمنوا وعملوا الصالحات}
