We were at the bathhouse shortly before the Festival of Sacrifice, and some people there applied a depilatory paste. One of those at the bathhouse remarked, "Saeed bin Musayab disapproves of this," or "forbids it."So I met Saeed bin Musayab and mentioned this to him. He said, "Nephew, this is a hadith that has been forgotten and abandoned. Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said..." and he related it with the same meaning as the hadith of Muaz from Muhammad bin Amr.

كنا في الحمام قبيل الأضحى فاطلى فيه ناس فقال بعض أهل الحمام إن سعيد بن المسيب يكره هذا أو ينهى عنه فلقيت سعيد بن المسيب فذكرت ذلك له فقال يا ابن أخي هذا حديث قد نسي وترك حدثتني أم سلمة زوج النبي ﷺ قالت قال رسول الله ﷺ بمعنى حديث معاذ عن محمد بن عمرو
