On the day of Khaybar, a man came and said, "Messenger of Allah, the donkeys have been eaten."Then another came and said, "Messenger of Allah, the donkeys have been wiped out."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered Abu Talha to announce, "Allah and His Messenger forbid you from eating the meat of donkeys, for it is filth," or "impure."The pots were then turned over with whatever was in them.
