Abu Hurairah reported,

Someone asked the Prophet ﷺ, "What is equal to jihad in the way of Allah ?"He replied, "You are not capable of it."They repeated the question to him two or three times, and each time he answered, "You are not capable of it."Then on the third time he said, "The one who fights in the way of Allah is like a person who fasts, stands in prayer, and is devoutly obedient to the verses of Allah, never pausing from fasting or prayer until the one who fights in the way of Allah Most High returns."
