The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has given a guarantee for whoever goes out in His path, going out for no reason other than striving in My path, faith in Me, and belief in My messengers. He is guaranteed by Me that I will admit him to Paradise, or return him to the home he set out from having gained whatever he gained of reward or spoils.By Him in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, no one is wounded in the path of Allah but that he will come on the Day of Resurrection just as he was when he was wounded, the color that of blood and the scent that of musk.By Him in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, were it not that it would be too hard on the Muslims, I would never stay behind from any expedition setting out to fight in the path of Allah. But I do not have the means to carry them all, nor do they have the means themselves, and it is hard on them to remain behind when I go.By Him in whose hand is Muhammad's soul, I would love to fight in the path of Allah and be killed, then fight and be killed, then fight and be killed."
