The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held a race with the horses that had been trained for racing, starting from al-Hafya, with the finish line at Thaniyat al-Wada. He also held a race between the horses that had not been trained, from the Thaniya to the mosque of Banu Zurayq. Ibn Umar was among those who took part in the race.
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى التميمي قال قرأت على مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ سابق بالخيل التي قد أضمرت من الحفياء وكان أمدها ثنية الوداع وسابق بين الخيل التي لم تضمر من الثنية إلى مسجد بني زريق وكان ابن عمر فيمن سابق بها
