I heard him on the pulpit attributing it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, Bishr bin Hakam also narrated to me, and the wording is his, that Sufyan bin Uyayna told them, that Mutarrif and Ibn Abjar narrated to them, both having heard Shaybi say, I heard Mughira bin Shuba relate it to the people from the pulpit. Sufyan said, one of the two raised it to the Prophet, and I think it was Ibn Abjar. He said, Musa asked his Lord, "Who among the people of Paradise has the lowest rank?"Allah answered, "He is a man who comes forward after the people of Paradise have already entered it, and he is told, 'Enter Paradise.'He says, 'My Lord, how can that be, when the people have already settled into their places and taken their shares?'He is asked, 'Would it please you to have the like of the kingdom of one of the kings of this world?'He says, 'I am pleased, my Lord.'Allah says, 'That is yours, and the like of it, and the like of it, and the like of it, and the like of it.'At the fifth he says, 'I am pleased, my Lord.'Allah says, 'This is yours, and ten times as much, and you shall have whatever your soul desires and whatever delights your eye.'He says, 'I am pleased, my Lord.'"Musa then asked, "My Lord, and who has the highest rank among them?"Allah replied, "Those are the ones I chose. I planted their honor with My own hand and set My seal upon it, so no eye has seen it, no ear has heard of it, and it has never crossed the heart of any human being."He said, and the confirmation of this in the Book of Allah is the verse, "No soul knows what comfort for the eyes has been kept hidden for them" [Sajdah 32:17].

Muslim narrated Ibn Uyayna's hadith from Mutarrif and Ibn Abjar, from Shaybi, from Mughira, as a stopped narration, concerning the description of the people of Paradise. There is disagreement over Abu Uyayna's version. Some said one of the two narrators raised it to the Prophet, some said it as a plain narration, and some stopped it. Ashjaee narrated it from Ibn Abjar as a stopped narration.
