While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying at the Kaaba, Abu Jahl and some of his companions were sitting nearby. A camel had been slaughtered the day before, so Abu Jahl said, "Who among you will go to the placenta of so-and-so's camel and bring it to place on Muhammad's shoulders when he prostrates?"The most wretched of them got up, fetched it, and when the Prophet ﷺ prostrated, he placed it between his shoulders.They burst into laughter, leaning on one another in their amusement. I was standing watching. Had I any power to protect him, I would have thrown it off the back of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. But the Prophet ﷺ remained in prostration, not lifting his head, until someone went and told Fatimah. She came, still a young girl, and threw it off him. Then she turned on them and rebuked them.When the Prophet ﷺ finished his prayer, he raised his voice and supplicated against them. When he supplicated, he would do so three times, and when he asked, he would ask three times. He said, "O Allah, deal with Quraysh," three times. When they heard his voice, the laughter left them, and they feared his supplication.Then he said, "O Allah, deal with Abu Jahl bin Hisham, Utba bin Rabia, Shayba bin Rabia, Walid bin Uqba, Umaya bin Khalaf, and Uqba bin Abu Muayt." He named a seventh, but I did not remember him.By the One who sent Muhammad ﷺ with the truth, I saw those whom he named slain on the day of Badr, then dragged to the well, the well of Badr.Abu Ishaq said, Walid bin Uqba is a mistake in this hadith.
و حدثنا عبد الله بن عمر بن محمد بن أبان الجعفي حدثنا عبد الرحيم يعني ابن سليمان عن زكرياء عن أبي إسحق عن عمرو بن ميمون الأودي
بينما رسول الله ﷺ يصلي عند البيت وأبو جهل وأصحاب له جلوس وقد نحرت جزور بالأمس فقال أبو جهل أيكم يقوم إلى سلا جزور بني فلان فيأخذه فيضعه في كتفي محمد إذا سجد فانبعث أشقى القوم فأخذه فلما سجد النبي ﷺ وضعه بين كتفيه قال فاستضحكوا وجعل بعضهم يميل على بعض وأنا قائم أنظر لو كانت لي منعة طرحته عن ظهر رسول الله ﷺ والنبي ﷺ ساجد ما يرفع رأسه حتى انطلق إنسان فأخبر فاطمة فجاءت وهي جويرية فطرحته عنه ثم أقبلت عليهم تشتمهم فلما قضى النبي ﷺ صلاته رفع صوته ثم دعا عليهم وكان إذا دعا دعا ثلاثا وإذا سأل سأل ثلاثا ثم قال اللهم عليك بقريش ثلاث مرات فلما سمعوا صوته ذهب عنهم الضحك وخافوا دعوته ثم قال اللهم عليك بأبي جهل بن هشام وعتبة بن ربيعة وشيبة بن ربيعة والوليد بن عقبة وأمية بن خلف وعقبة بن أبي معيط وذكر السابع ولم أحفظه فوالذي بعث محمدا ﷺ بالحق لقد رأيت الذين سمى صرعى يوم بدر ثم سحبوا إلى القليب قليب بدر قال أبو إسحق الوليد بن عقبة غلط في هذا الحديث
