A woman from the tribe of Banu Makhzum stole something, and she was brought to the Prophet ﷺ. She sought refuge with Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ.The Prophet ﷺ said, "By Allah, even if it were Fatimah, I would cut off her hand."So her hand was cut off.
و حدثني سلمة بن شبيب حدثنا الحسن بن أعين حدثنا معقل عن أبي الزبير
أن امرأة من بني مخزوم سرقت فأتي بها النبي ﷺ فعاذت بأم سلمة زوج النبي ﷺ فقال النبي ﷺ والله لو كانت فاطمة لقطعت يدها فقطعت
