Abu Hurairah reported,

Two women from Huzayl got into a fight, and one of them threw a stone at the other, killing her along with the child in her womb. The case was brought before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who ruled that the blood-money for the unborn child was a male or female slave, and that the blood-money for the woman was to be paid by her killer's paternal male relatives, with her inheritance going to her children and those with them.Hamal bin Nabigha al-Huzali said, "Messenger of Allah, how can I be made to pay for one who did not drink, did not eat, did not speak, and did not even cry out? Such a claim should be dismissed."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This man is from the brethren of the soothsayers," because of the rhymed prose he used.
