I was sitting behind Umar bin Abdul-Aziz when he asked the people, "What do you say about Qassama?"Anbasa said, "Anas bin Malik narrated to us such and such."I said, "It was to me that Anas narrated. A group came to the Prophet ﷺ..." and he related the hadith along the lines of the narration of Ayub and Hajjaj.Abu Qilaba said, "When I finished, Anbasa exclaimed, 'Glory be to Allah!'"Abu Qilaba continued, "I said, 'Do you accuse me of lying, Anbasa?'"He replied, "No. This is exactly how Anas bin Malik narrated it to us. People of Sham, you will continue to be in good standing as long as this man, or one like him, remains among you."

كنت جالسا خلف عمر بن عبد العزيز فقال للناس ما تقولون في القسامة فقال عنبسة قد حدثنا أنس بن مالك كذا وكذا فقلت إياي حدث أنس قدم على النبي ﷺ قوم وساق الحديث بنحو حديث أيوب وحجاج قال أبو قلابة فلما فرغت قال عنبسة سبحان الله قال أبو قلابة فقلت أتتهمني يا عنبسة قال لا هكذا حدثنا أنس بن مالك لن تزالوا بخير يا أهل الشام ما دام فيكم هذا أو مثل هذا
