The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever frees a share that he owns in a slave must secure the slave's full freedom from his own wealth, if he has wealth. If he has no wealth, the slave is to work to earn his freedom, without being overburdened."In Isa's version of the report, "then he works to earn the share belonging to the one who did not free him, without being overburdened."
و حدثناه أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة حدثنا علي بن مسهر ومحمد بن بشر ح و حدثنا إسحق بن إبراهيم وعلي بن خشرم قالا أخبرنا عيسى بن يونس جميعا عن ابن أبي عروبة بهذا الإسناد وفي حديث عيسى ثم يستسعى في نصيب الذي لم يعتق غير مشقوق عليه
