Abu Hurairah reported,

He narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, mentioning a number of hadith, among them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the closest of people to the believers according to the Book of Allah . So whichever of you leaves behind a debt or dependents in need, call on me, for I am his guardian. And whichever of you leaves behind wealth, let him give preference with his wealth to his kinsmen, whoever they may be."
