The Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr came on foot to visit me when I was sick among the Banu Salama. They found me unconscious, so he called for water, performed ablution, and then sprinkled some of it on me, and I regained consciousness.I asked, "Messenger of Allah, what shall I do about my property?"Then the verse was revealed, "Allah instructs you concerning your children. For the male, what is equal to the share of two females" [Nisa 4:11].

عادني النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر في بني سلمة يمشيان فوجدني لا أعقل فدعا بماء فتوضأ ثم رش علي منه فأفقت فقلت كيف أصنع في مالي يا رسول الله فنزلت {يوصيكم الله في أولادكم للذكر مثل حظ الأنثيين}
