Zuhri reported,

With this chain of narration, similar to the hadith of Yunus, he said, "Allah revealed 'You who are wrapped up' until His saying 'and shun idols' [Muddaththir 74:1–5], before the prayer was made obligatory, and the idols are the false gods." And he said, "I was terrified of him," just as Aqeel said.

و حدثني محمد بن رافع حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر

بهذا الإسناد نحو حديث يونس وقال فأنزل الله تبارك وتعالى {يا أيها المدثر} إلى قوله {والرجز فاهجر} قبل أن تفرض الصلاة وهي الأوثان وقال فجئثت منه كما قال عقيل
