We were with Fadala bin Ubayd on a military campaign when a necklace containing gold, silver, and gems came into the possession of me and my companions. I wanted to buy it, so I asked Fadala bin Ubayd about it.He said, "Remove its gold and place it on one side of the scale, and place your gold on the other side, then do not take anything except like for like. For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must not take anything except like for like.'"
