The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of fruit before its ripeness becomes apparent. He forbade it to both the seller and the buyer.
حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى قال قرأت على مالك عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن بيع الثمر حتى يبدو صلاحها نهى البائع والمبتاع
