This was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ.Muhammad bin al-Muthanna also narrated it to us, saying Abdul-Samad reported to us, Shuba reported to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ.Ubaydullah bin Muaz also narrated it to us, saying my father reported to us, Shuba reported to us, from Adi, who is Ibn Thabit, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man to bid against the offer of his brother.In the narration of al-Dawraqi, the wording is, "against the bid of his brother."

عن النبي ﷺ ح و حدثناه محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا شعبة عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ ح و حدثنا عبيد الله بن معاذ حدثنا أبي حدثنا شعبة عن عدي وهو ابن ثابت عن أبي حازم عن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن يستام الرجل على سوم أخيه وفي رواية الدورقي على سيمة أخيه
