An Arabi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, my wife has given birth to a black boy, and I deny that he is mine."The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "Do you own any camels?"He replied, "Yes."The Prophet asked, "What are their colors?"He said, "Red."The Prophet asked, "Is there a dusky one among them?"He said, "Yes."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Then how did that come about?"He answered, "Perhaps, Messenger of Allah, it was due to a strain inherited from an ancestor."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "And this child too may have inherited his color from a distant ancestor."
و حدثني أبو الطاهر وحرملة بن يحيى واللفظ لحرملة قالا أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
أن أعرابيا أتى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن امرأتي ولدت غلاما أسود وإني أنكرته فقال له النبي ﷺ هل لك من إبل قال نعم قال ما ألوانها قال حمر قال فهل فيها من أورق قال نعم قال رسول الله ﷺ فأنى هو قال لعله يا رسول الله يكون نزعه عرق له فقال له النبي ﷺ وهذا لعله يكون نزعه عرق له
