Ayesha reported,

I used to feel jealous of those women who offered themselves to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would say, "Does a woman really offer herself in this way?"Then, when Allah revealed "You may defer whom you will of them and take to yourself whom you will, and any you desire of those you had set aside" [Ahzab 33:51], I said, "By Allah, I see that your Lord hastens to fulfill your desires."

كنت أغار على اللاتي وهبن أنفسهن لرسول الله ﷺ وأقول وتهب المرأة نفسها فلما أنزل الله عز وجل {ترجي من تشاء منهن وتؤوي إليك من تشاء ومن ابتغيت ممن عزلت} قال قلت والله ما أرى ربك إلا يسارع لك في هواك
