Salim, the freed slave of Abu Huzaifa, used to live with Abu Huzaifa and his family in their home. The daughter of Suhayl came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Salim has reached the age of manhood and understands what Some men understand, and he enters upon us. I sense that Abu Huzaifa feels uneasy about this."The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Nurse him, and he will become unlawful for you to marry, and what troubles Abu Huzaifa will be removed."She returned and later said, "I have nursed him, and what troubled Abu Huzaifa is gone."
و حدثنا إسحق بن إبراهيم الحنظلي ومحمد بن أبي عمر جميعا عن الثقفي قال ابن أبي عمر حدثنا عبد الوهاب الثقفي عن أيوب عن ابن أبي مليكة عن القاسم
أن سالما مولى أبي حذيفة كان مع أبي حذيفة وأهله في بيتهم فأتت تعني ابنة سهيل النبي ﷺ فقالت إن سالما قد بلغ ما يبلغ الرجال وعقل ما عقلوا وإنه يدخل علينا وإني أظن أن في نفس أبي حذيفة من ذلك شيئا فقال لها النبي ﷺ أرضعيه تحرمي عليه ويذهب الذي في نفس أبي حذيفة فرجعت فقالت إني قد أرضعته فذهب الذي في نفس أبي حذيفة
