Abu Sarma and I went in to see Abu Saeed Khudri, and Abu Sarma asked him, "Abu Saeed, did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention coitus interruptus?"He replied, "Yes. We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the expedition against the Banu Mustaliq, and we captured noble Arab women. The separation from our wives had grown long upon us, and we desired the ransom money, so we wanted to enjoy these women while practicing coitus interruptus. We said to ourselves, 'Shall we do this while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is among us, without asking him?' So we asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'It does not matter if you do not do it. There is no soul that Allah has decreed to come into existence until the Day of Resurrection except that it will come to be.'"
و حدثنا يحيى بن أيوب وقتيبة بن سعيد وعلي بن حجر قالوا حدثنا إسمعيل بن جعفر أخبرني ربيعة عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان
دخلت أنا وأبو صرمة على أبي سعيد الخدري فسأله أبو صرمة فقال يا أبا سعيد هل سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يذكر العزل فقال نعم غزونا مع رسول الله ﷺ غزوة بلمصطلق فسبينا كرائم العرب فطالت علينا العزبة ورغبنا في الفداء فأردنا أن نستمتع ونعزل فقلنا نفعل ورسول الله ﷺ بين أظهرنا لا نسأله فسألنا رسول الله ﷺ فقال لا عليكم أن لا تفعلوا ما كتب الله خلق نسمة هي كائنة إلى يوم القيامة إلا ستكون
