She informed him that Rifa Qurazi had divorced his wife with an irrevocable divorce, and afterward she married Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I was married to Rifa, and he gave me the final of three divorces. Then I married Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr, but by Allah, he has nothing with him except something like the fringe of a garment," and she took hold of a fringe from her cloak.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and laughed, then said, "Perhaps you wish to return to Rifa? No, not until he tastes your sweetness and you taste his."Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Khalid bin Saeed bin al-As was sitting at the door of the chamber, not yet granted permission to enter. Khalid began calling out to Abu Bakr, "Will you not rebuke this woman for what she is openly saying in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"
حدثني أبو الطاهر وحرملة بن يحيى واللفظ لحرملة قال أبو الطاهر حدثنا وقال حرملة أخبرنا ابن وهب أخبرني يونس عن ابن شهاب حدثني عروة بن الزبير أن
أخبرته أن رفاعة القرظي طلق امرأته فبت طلاقها فتزوجت بعده عبد الرحمن بن الزبير فجاءت النبي ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله إنها كانت تحت رفاعة فطلقها آخر ثلاث تطليقات فتزوجت بعده عبد الرحمن بن الزبير وإنه والله ما معه إلا مثل الهدبة وأخذت بهدبة من جلبابها قال فتبسم رسول الله ﷺ ضاحكا فقال لعلك تريدين أن ترجعي إلى رفاعة لا حتى يذوق عسيلتك وتذوقي عسيلته وأبو بكر الصديق جالس عند رسول الله ﷺ وخالد بن سعيد بن العاص جالس بباب الحجرة لم يؤذن له قال فطفق خالد ينادي أبا بكر ألا تزجر هذه عما تجهر به عند رسول الله ﷺ
