Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "A previously married woman has more right over herself than her guardian, and a virgin is to be consulted, and her consent is her silence."He also said, "A previously married woman has more right over herself than her guardian, and as for the virgin, her father seeks her permission regarding herself, and her permission is her silence." And sometimes he said, "and her silence is her consent."
