I was with Jabir bin Abdullah when someone came to him and said, "Ibn Abbas and Ibn Zubayr have differed concerning the two forms of mutah."Jabir replied, "We practiced both of them with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then Umar forbade us from them, so we did not return to them."

كنت عند جابر بن عبد الله فأتاه آت فقال ابن عباس وابن الزبير اختلفا في المتعتين فقال جابر فعلناهما مع رسول الله ﷺ ثم نهانا عنهما عمر فلم نعد لهما
