Ata said, Jabir bin Abdullah came to perform Umrah, so we visited him at his lodging. The people asked him about various matters, then they brought up mutah. He said, "Yes, we practiced mutah during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and during the time of Abu Bakr and Umar."
